There are many exciting ways to become involved with Preschool Promise!
Preschool Promise always needs volunteers to help us reach families & the community with vital information about how to get our children enrolled in quality Preschool. Below are a few ways volunteers serve:
- Attend community events
- Organize Kindergarten Readiness Kits to pass out to children
- Set up for Preschool Promise events
- Take pictures at Preschool Promise events
- Promote Preschool Promise on social media
Parent Advisory Committee
The Parent Advisory Committee advises Preschool Promise on all policies and activities concerning parents. To join, you must have a child or grandchild 0-8 and you must be passionate about early learning and serving families.
This committee meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesday at the Miami Valley CDC - Miami View, 830 W. Fifth St., Dayton, OH 45407.
Childcare and dinner are provided.Parent Ambassador
Preschool Promise, Inc. seeks parents who will spread the word about Preschool Promise and generate excitement for high quality Preschool. The goal is to encourage families to participate in Preschool Promise and to ensure that Preschool Promise is a trusted brand to the community. An ideal Parent Ambassador currently has at least one child enrolled in Preschool Promise. Ambassadors serve from September 1 - August 30 and receive a stipend for their commitment.
Preschool Promise is no longer accepting applications for the 2018-19 Parent Ambassador positions. Preschool Promise will begin to accept applications for 2019-20 Parent Ambassadors in Fall 2019.
