On Thursday, April 25th, Preschool Promise hosted the third annual Excellence Awards, honoring the important and valuable work of our partner provider teachers and administrators. Research shows that the quality of child-teacher interactions and relationships is the most important factor in supporting positive child development outcomes. As proof, children from Preschool Promise are better prepared for Kindergarten than their counterparts.Â
Hundreds of teachers were nominated by their peers, and the following six awards were presented by Preschool Promise Team Members, Sponsors and Local Officials.Â
Littlest Learners: Kimberlyn Fadare, Uniquely Dis-zian Family Childcare
Small Center, Big Heart: Chaley Johnson, The Learning Ladder Academy
Coaches Award: Latasha Simmons, On Purpose Academy Pop-Up Preschool
Equity Award: Sade Baccus, Smart Steps Academy
Exceptional Educator: Suzanne VanBibber, Kettering Early Childhood Education Center
Graduate of the Year: Morgan Brown, Trotwood-Madison Early Learning Center
In addition, Sandy Cottrill and her team at Dayton Creative Printing were highlighted as
