Passport to Kindergarten Kicks off the new school year

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the PNC Foundation for sponsoring Passport to Kindergarten through their Great Up Great Initiative, which helps prepare children from birth to age five for success in school and life.

On September 12th, we celebrated the official program kickoff with a vibrant Kickoff Carnival attended by teachers and families.

This year, 18 classrooms—encompassing nearly 250 children and their teachers—are participating in the program. The initiative focuses on dialogic reading in small groups, family engagement events centered on literacy, and classroom visits from external partners. These partners will also host events for participating families at their locations.

We are grateful to our community partners—Muse Machine, Dayton Art Institute, Boonshoft Museum of Discovery, Five Rivers Metro Parks, and Dayton Metro Library—for making this program a reality!
