On February 3, Governor Mike DeWine released his Executive Budget Proposal for FY2026-2027, which prioritizes investments in young children and families. Preschool Promise supports the Governor’s proposal to help working families afford child care, expand home visiting to support parents with infants and toddlers, and to offer a new Child Tax Credit. Please join us in asking our state elected officials to support the Governor’s budget.

On Wednesday, March 12th, Preschool Promise team members will join Groundwork Ohio and other early childhood advocates for Advocacy Day at the Ohio Statehouse. This year’s theme, “Foundations for Ohio's Future: Investing in Young Children Today,” highlights the importance of equitable access to quality early education and a strong start in life for every child. We’re excited to share our experiences from this event in the March Newsletter.
