Enrollment Guidelines Announced

Enrollment is officially open for the upcoming school year, and we have some incredibly exciting news to share! Starting this August, we are shifting our enrollment guidelines to ensure that every single child in our partner preschool classrooms is set up for success.

We are on a mission to get more children kindergarten-ready, and these new changes are designed to make sure no child misses out on the tools they need to thrive.

In the past, families had to complete the application process to receive kindergarten readiness materials and other benefits. Beginning in August, *EVERY child enrolled in a partner preschool classroom is automatically enrolled in Preschool Promise. This includes all 3 and 4-year-olds in the classroom. Every child will receive:

  • Book-of-the-Month: Building home libraries and a love for reading.

  • Kindergarten Toolkit: Hands-on materials to work on skills for Kindergarten.

  • Boonshoft Museum Family Pass: A free one-day pass

  • Preschool Promise T-Shirt:

  • Helpful Text Messages: Tips and insights to support learning at home.

*If a family wishes to opt-out of receiving these materials and benefits, they can simply notify their preschool provider.

Why the big change? Because we believe this is the best possible path to kindergarten readiness.

Teachers read the Book-of-the-Month with children and families can read it together at home. Did you know? Repetition allows for predictability and routine, and repeating words and phrases anchors new vocabulary and strengthens comprehension. With our Kindergarten toolkit, children will be exposed to skills at school and practicing at home.

While the readiness materials are now automatic for everyone, families who are age- and residency-eligible for tuition assistance will complete the FULL Preschool Promise application, including submitting all required supporting documentation. We are thrilled to partner with our amazing providers and families to make this upcoming school year the most supportive—and kindergarten-ready—one yet.
