Ever experienced a moment as a child, or with a child, who opened a present… and ended up playing with the box?
Our April Book-of-the-month Not a Box by Antoinette Portis is an excellent book for preschoolers because it champions imaginative, open-ended play and creativity, transforming a simple cardboard box into rockets, mountains, and robots. Its simple, repetitive text and bold illustrations perfectly suit young attention spans, encouraging children to think beyond the obvious and embrace imaginative thinking.

Not wanting to be left out of the fun, our team took the opportunity for a fun and creative team building activity of creating with boxes…and here are some of the results! We even created a racecar for Professional Development Manager, Crystal Howard!
