Families are invited to Play on Purpose – now at each library branch! Preschool Promise, in partnership with the Dayton Metro Libraries, has been working on installing signs at each of the 17 library branches within the library network. These signs help highlight the themes at each branch, encouraging families to share their ideas and imagine the possibilities!

Each library has two signs in their children’s area. One sign provides a question to prompt kiddos’ imagination or share their ideas with their adults. The other focuses on the five early literacy practices – to talk, read, write, sing and play every day! Our goal is to encourage kiddos and families to engage in back and forth conversations, as this skill is one easy way to promote school readiness and success. Look for the signs across Dayton Metro Library locations!
