550 attendees enjoyed a buffet breakfast and interacted with vendor tables before settling into the morning session, culminating with keynote speaker Isabelle Hau’s address, Early Childhood Educators and AI: What to Know and How to Prepare. The presentation started with some startingly metrics: when comparing how long it took several new technologies to reach 50 million people. The longest, airlines took 68 years with each advancement’s reach happening in quicker succession. Whereas the internet took 7 years, ChatGPT took 5 weeks!

Following the morning session, attendees chose from 13 breakout sessions offering a deeper dive on aspects of AI. Some comments we received were, “Knowledge reduced my fear (of AI)!” and “The hands-on interaction with the apps gave me real-time opportunities to experiment with facilitators there to answer questions.” You can review the keynote speaker and breakout session presentations on our website at www.preschoolpromise.org/summit
