Celebrating our Ambassadors

The upcoming Ambassador Recognition Event, to be held in early May, is an opportunity to celebrate more than a program—we will be honoring a movement rooted in equity, representation, and the belief that every child deserves to be seen, valued, and supported from the very start.

Through the Black Boy Brilliance and Black Girl Genius programs, dedicated Ambassadors have stepped into classrooms as mentors and role models, providing culturally affirming experiences that nurture the academic, social-emotional, and identity development of Black preschool children in Preschool Promise Partner Sites across Montgomery County.
The event will recognize the commitment and impact of these individuals while also celebrating the visionaries and partners who helped bring this work to life. It is a moment to reflect on what’s possible when we intentionally invest in both children and those who guide them—and to recommit to building early learning environments where Black children can truly thrive.Supporters of Ambassador programs include the Virginia W. Kettering Foundation and the Iddings Foundation. If you are interested in finding out how to be an Ambassador, contact Dr. Tennille Love, Manager of Scholars and Empowerment Programs.
