Every child deserves a great start in school, but some face bigger challenges than others. Cindy Pham, a University of Dayton student majoring in Early Childhood Education, joined the Education Impact Partner Cohort to learn how to help all children succeed. During her time with Preschool Promise, Cindy discovered that many families want to be involved in their children's learning but face tough roadblocks.

True fairness in education means making sure that the kids who need the most help get the right tools, including both reading support and help with their feelings. By working directly with a partner preschool, Cindy learned how to see these challenges clearly and design fun, meaningful lessons that include every single student.

Through this internship, Cindy learned how to support diverse learners and grew into a much more thoughtful, caring educator who is ready to make a real difference.
