The  Physicians’ Charitable Foundation of the Miami Valley's mission is to foster programs and services that will improve the quality, accessibility and cost effectiveness of health care services with an emphasis on innovative approaches to health care problems.

We are grateful for their support in funding the February Play Kit.

Play Kits are uniquely designed to promote learning at home and provide tangible activities for parents

and children to do together. The February Play Kit highlights the importance of regular well-child visits for children ages 0–5. These early years are critical for healthy development, yet in Montgomery County, only 50% of young children on Medicaid are receiving recommended well-child checkups. This means half of children in the lowest income households are missing crucial opportunities for doctors to track growth, assess developmental milestones, and identify delays early—when interventions have the greatest impact on long-term outcomes.

Thank you Physician's Charitable Foundation of the Miami Valley for helping make this Play Kit a reality!
