Over 8,000 books shared with community in honor of Dolly Parton Day.
On Friday, September 25, in partnership with Brunner Literacy Center, Preschool Promise delivered over 8,000 books to Little Free Libraries, schools and community partners.
33 Preschool Promise Little Free Libraries and books bins were stuffed with bonus books received by Preschool Promise as part of our Books-Of-The-Month book ordering. Community volunteers and team members from Preschool Promise and Brunner Literacy Center organized donations, boxed for donations and delivered orders to organizations around Dayton.
“Literacy is one of those things that truly has the power to change
the trajectory of a person’s life,” said Myla Cardona-Jones, CEO of the Brunner Literacy Center. “When we put books into the hands of children and families, we aren't simply giving them something to read. We are giving them opportunity, imagination, confidence and a foundation for lifelong learning,” said Shelly Davies, Marketing and Outreach Manager of Preschool Promise.

The partnership also reflects the organizations’ shared commitment to strengthening the Dayton community by making literacy resources more accessible. We look forward to continuing the community's access free books as we continue through the year.
