We held our first-ever Ambassadors Recognition Event to celebrate 11 Black Boy Brilliance Ambassadors and 9 Black Girl Genius Ambassadors. Attendees included the Ambassadors, their families, host classroom teachers, and members of the Committee to Transform Preschool for Black Boys.

The evening featured remarks from Dr. Tennille Love, Empowerment Manager; a spoken word performance by Lore Storytelling; testimonials from Black Boy Ambassador Corday Hardy and Black Girl Genius Ambassador Maleshia McIntosh; and a keynote address from Committee Member and Bridging the Gap Facilitator, Rev. Palmer Jason.
In his remarks, Corday shared that he is the only male presence at his center, joining four staff members of color. He spoke about how his presence has shifted the atmosphere for students, who see him not just as a teacher, but as a big brother and leader who looks like them. He reflected on the impact of those relationships, sharing that every student at the art table gave him their artwork — a simple but meaningful reminder that, in their eyes, he was someone worthy of their masterpieces.

We are currently looking for additional Ambassadors to join the program. Click here to connect to the application.
