Each February, Preschool Promise invites current partner providers to reapply, while also welcoming new programs for consideration. To become a Preschool Promise partner provider, a site must be located within one of our eight partner school districts: Dayton Public, Huber Heights, Jefferson Township, Kettering, Mad River, Northridge, Trotwood, or West Carrollton. Programs must serve preschool-aged children and hold at least a Silver Step Up To Quality rating. Eligible sites include public and charter schools, family child care homes, parochial preschools, and community-based programs.
What’s in it for the programs? Partner providers can receive training, coaching, and free professional development, along with access to funding to improve program quality or expand preschool classrooms. Just as importantly, families enrolled at participating providers may receive tuition assistance, Books-of-the-Month, Play Kits, and other free resources to help prepare their children for kindergarten.
