Team Spotlight

In March 2025, Aluré Powell-Russell joined Preschool Promise as the Administrative Support Specialist for Marketing, bringing a strong focus to social media strategy. Previously with the University of Dayton’s Donor Relations team, Aluré excelled at showcasing donors and scholarship recipients — experience that now shines through in her work with us.

Since her arrival, our social media presence has seen remarkable growth. Aluré thrives on the creative challenge of telling our story, capturing the voice of Preschool Promise’s programs, and creating content both meaningful and click-worthy. Over the past few months, she has met with program managers to understand their vision and translate it into posts that connect with our community.

In the past three months, our follower count has skyrocketed. As we head into a new school year, Aluré is already planning dynamic content, from spotlighting families in our programs and sharing moments from professional learning communities to highlighting Ready to Read and the exciting launch of Black Girl Genius. 

Currently in her final year at the University of Dayton, Aluré will graduate with a master’s degree in Education. We’re thrilled to have her talent and energy on our team. Keep your eyes on this rising star!
