Summer Academy

Preschool Promise and Conscious Discipline teamed up to present self-regulation to teachers through a culturally responsive lens. Over the course of 5 days, 8 African American women who serve as Conscious Discipline Certified Instructors took the main stage to deliver content in a way that had never been heard before in the Dayton area. Brain science, composure techniques and the skill of positive intent were examined by teachers from Preschool Promise partner sites. Participating teachers will be continuing their study through a year-long professional development as part of our EIR grant.
